With international travel and out of state destinations on hold for now, we have been moving more and more towards creating the perfect staycation. We can still make amazing memories while staying healthy and safe and close to home!

We are sharing our ultimate list of Airbnb accommodations, where you can go on the perfect staycation while feeling at home and adventuring at the same time!
Note: For my parents and many of my close friends, this is the best travel list. Due to busy work schedules, they don’t always get the chance to travel to far-off places. But local options like these Airbnb stays give them the opportunity to unwind and relax while rediscovering closeby destinations and seeing home through a new lens.
My favorite part about Airbnb staycation destinations is that we can get away while also reducing our carbon footprint, since we’re not taking a plane!
So here it is: the ultimate Airbnb list of staycation ideas that you can visit while staying at home!
Each home on this list offers something unique and extraordinary, a je ne sais quoi that you’ll have to experience for yourself. You’ll get transported to the Masai Mara or the Sahara if you decide to visit the African-Inspired Eco Tent (every bit as dreamy as the ones we enjoyed in Morocco), or you’ll mentally find yourself in Norway if you plan on making one of the cottages your temporary home in the winter. You’ll find it all on this list: A-frame cabins, glass houses, sleek apartments, and even secluded homes with pools… These places will fulfil every daydream you’ve had while creating your pinterest travel board and browsing your IG explorers page!
This one is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity: I don’t know if there’s a dome house with as spectacular surroundings and views anywhere else! Anyone in the Joshua Tree area should definitely check out this unique stay. It looks like an incredible way to experience this gorgeous area of the USA!

This might be my favorite way to get in touch with nature without the mud and bugs! This Glass House offers unparalleled views of the gorgeous Hudson Valley through its huge windows, and you’ll have everything you need inside. This is a super cool opportunity that you’ll only find through Airbnb!

This might be the coolest spot to stay in Chicago! This designer penthouse will seem like you’re in an award winning art museum while feeling cozy and comfortable at the same time. You’ll never want to leave!
For those who love clean modern design and live near the Blue Ridge Mountains, this cabin will be like something out of your dreams. This stunning house is close to the Appalachian Trail and Blue Ridge Parkway, making it the perfect home base for discerning travelers exploring the natural wonders of the area.
If you’re looking for a real farm experience, this red brick barn is the perfect place to stay. The quaint house itself has all of the amenities, and you’ll have fresh eggs in the morning from the farm’s hens! There’s even a pool for the warmer days.
