Easy and Refreshing Non-alcoholic Drinks for Summer

Virgin Mojito

As a Cuban born and raised, I know how delicious mojitos can be. Growing up, while the adults drank the alcoholic version, my mom used to prepare this virgin mojito for me, and it has always stayed with me as one of my favorite drinks. It has that classic mojito flavor, with fresh lime and mint, finished with a bubbly sparkle that makes it perfect for a hot beach or pool day.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces sparkling water or soda water

  • Juice of 2 limes

  • 8 fresh mint leaves

  • 1-2 tsp of honey or sugar

  • Ice, as needed

  • Lime slices

Instructions

  1. In a tall glass, add the fresh lime juice and honey or sugar.

  2. Gently muddle the mint leaves to release their aroma without tearing them apart.

  3. Fill the glass with ice, then pour in the sparkling water.

  4. Stir gently to combine everything.

  5. Add lime slices to the glass and garnish with extra mint.
